How to find the lock code for your PC or key

Note: If you are locking licenses to a key, please ensure that the key is attached to the PC before starting CLS.

1. If CLS is installed on the PC

   In the notification area (bottom right corner of your desktop) right click on the CLS icon and select License Manager from the menu. In the Help menu of the dialog select the About option. The Lock Code (shown in red below) can be copied and pasted in to the entry box on the web page.

   Alternatively, select the Explore CLS button and in the Explorer that is displayed select the \Utilities\Generate Lock Code folder and run generatelockcode.exe.

2. If CLS is not installed on the PC

   You may need to find the lock code for a PC that does not have CLS installed, for example a server with just the Sentinel RMS License Server software installed.

   Insert your latest product DVD and in Windows Explorer go to the \Sentinel RMS Licensing\Generate Lock Code folder. Double-click generatelockcode.exe

   Locked to a key

   Select the lock code, then right click and copy. Paste the lock code into the entry box on the web page.

When submitting your lock code if you enter an email address you will receive the license file via email in addition to being able to download the license file.
